Effects - like link/loop but don"t have to record onto cue - records onto a sub. Double tap effect key; effect 1 enter, click on which type you want. S1 (select button) 1 thru 5 = creates 5 steps, arrow to the right selects channels. Buttons: 1 thru 5 ---- assigns channels 1-5 too. Parameters: step time, in time, dwell time, decay time, on state, off state. Select 1 thru 5, effect 1 enter - it"ll fade in and out of lights selected, effect is running. With the effect running, hit record sub s1 (mode) --- hitting s1 cycles through modes. Record sub 51 effectsub enter - records. Effect sub, if you just turn fader up and down - nothing happens. After you hit bump button, then the fader matters. Bump starts and stops, but fader controls how fading in and out of the effect. If you want quickly call up intensities for various channels, do it via intensity palettes.
