Theory = a way to describe, predict or explain relationships amongst phenomena. We use theories to make sense of behaviour: biological (not in the exam) = chromosomes. hormonal activities and brain specialisation comes from the social science background. Psychological theories; social learning theory: we learn by imitating others and getting responses to behaviour, children imitate communication seen in media and by others, behaviours that are rewarded are reinforced.
