ATTR 1100 Lecture Notes - Lecture 5: Crepitus, Bone Pain, Palpation
Document Summary
He subtracted the provoked tissue from the normal tissue. He subtracted the pathological tissue from the contraindications. On-site evaluation at the time of injury (on-field) Off-site evaluation including many assessment & rehab plan. Information gathered on injury history and the symptoms experienced by the patient. Injury & symptoms are key elements in subjection evaluation. Information gathered by observation and inspection, acute injury palpation, range of motion assessment (active & passive), muscle strength testing, special tests, neurological assessment and functional testing. Reflex inhibition of muscles in an attempt to minimize muscle or joint loading. Typically musculoskeletal pain worsens on movement and gets better with rest. Describe the pain as sharp, dull, aching, burning or tingling. Might correlate with underlying injury or pathological tissue. Minor or chronic injury - localized in a small area; more severe injury - more diffuse in nature. Injury is getting worse or rehab is not working. Initial morning pain & stiffness that is reduced with activity.
