Document Summary
We cannot enter the mind of another being; we just need a sense of their point of view. Not relying on concepts -- observation from different angles. We believe that certain perspectives are irrelevant. You wouldn"t ask a homeless person about his opinion on a financial crisis. Everyone else (lower class, poor people) = don"t get it discarded. We need to see the world as an equal realm. To understand the dynamics of the economic system, an anthropologist would ask the homeless people. Semiotic system of equal terms look beyond concepts. He knows that every culture has a different perspective on that question. Avila people of amazon believe that all animals are human. They engage in the same communication, but belong to different natures. When the runa talk about humans, they are also talking about jaguars, spirits, etc. A jaguar can be like a human and vice-versa. A spirit is called runa puma: jaguar man; were-jaguar whites.
