Complex world, unchanging, short lived world, humans were unique (apart from nature) Increasingly atheistic views in science, new changes in social and political worlds. There was still philosophic belief of an unchanging world. Developing natural laws in chemistry and physics. The theory of earth revolving the sun. Opening up the astronomic world to the outside. Earth not at center of universe (theology kinda freaking out) Now earth was seen as an old old old thing. Which helped people to think about evolutionary theory.
