Document Summary

At the end of franz kafka"s the metamorphosis, we see multiple key events. Such events would include the death of gregor, the relief of the family, and the family"s resolve to get. Fairly speaking, the death of gregor was appropriate for the end, but the family"s relief and resolve to get their daughter married was inappropriate to conclude the story. The death of gregor was a very important point in the story. But to understand why, first we must see who gregor was. Before the book began, gregor was the breadwinner and the only worker in his family. That all changed when gregor turned into a giant insect. He could neither work nor communicate with his family. To them, he appeared as no more than a cockroach, despite still having the mind of a human. In his attempts to communicate with them, he only succeeded in making them more revolted of him.
