The second great awakening spread religion rationalism and the church remade their organizations. The methodist church sent preachers throughout the united states to attract people. It became a fast denomination in the america. Great awakening showed that individuals must add god and christ back into their lives. People must adopt piety, and repudiate rationalism that targeted conventional beliefs. It didn"t bring all ideas such as predestination. It brought back the faith in god, whose grace can be obtained through your faith and deeds. The second great awakening didn"t give power to the church but it increased the different sects and it showed that the americans belong to separate protestant churches. In the second great awakening the women were more involved in the church, and the women played more economic roles as well. Younger women worked in the factory and the older women weaved to get money.
