Esophagus: superior, middle and inferior pharyngeal constrictors, hollow muscular tube that extends from pharynx to stomach, posterior to trachea, innervated by vagus nerve, upper and lower esophageal sphincters. Small intestine: duodenum, via pyloric sphincter, receives enzymes from pancreas and bile from liver and gallbladder, jejunum, nutrient absorption, ileum, longest portion.
