Bc they are expected to dance in front of his people on certain occasions display of virtues and to honor ancestors, remind people of the victories that he and his ancestors have won. Dancing in west africa involves the whole body. Dancing at court involves everyone: chiefs @ every level have drummers & dancers to do honor to their own position and pay homage to the higher ups.
