With the ocean, evaporation, desalination, and hurricanes are pulling the sea level down. On the other hand, rain and rivers are pushing the sea level up. These two balance to keep the sea level steady. The di erence between weather and climate is time. Weather is atmospheric conditions over a period of time. There are 6 snow akes on this timeline of the earth, they represent ice ages. The rst ice age is called snowball earth . The time between ice ages is called an interglacial period. Interglacial just refers to the fact that temperatures are trending upwards instead of downwards.
