Main goal is the description of social world from vantage point of women. Wide reach is interdisciplinary, international scholars, activists, artists. Reflexive approach is able to use its methods on itself: 1st and 2nd wave feminists were focused on middle class whites. 3rd wave said there are many other types of women. Those women are causing another problem by only looking at middle class white women. And what about the women? : women are present in most social situations- unless excluded. Why is this as it is: gender is a social construction. And what bout the differences among women: gender intersects class, race, age, religion, martial status, etc . How can we make the world more just for all people: critical social theory= adjust world for marginalized.
