THEATRE 2100 Lecture Notes - Lecture 6: Kassidy, A Forest

48 views4 pages

Document Summary

All the great books: a comedic spin on history. The outdoor theatre welcomed me as a laid my blanket down in anticipation for all the. The character introductions were the first to grasp my attention. It surprised me that there were only three of them on stage at a single moment, introducing intimacy and the chance for me to get to know more of the characters themselves. The relationship between the actors being the teachers and the audience, their students, was a brilliant aspect that allowed me to feel a part of the production. The performance proved very interactive, like when student teacher asked the audience to sneeze when coach said a certain word. And instead of the regular lectures i am used to, these teachers were surprisingly comedic. The spin of comedy was very unexpected and held my attention even though the topic was somewhat of a drag. But oftentimes comedy brings high energy and confusion.
