Worlds still recovering from the global financial crisis of 2008. Us federal reserve interest rates have been at 0% since then. Economy slowly growing again in the us, but wages haven"t risen. Debt and unemployment remain very high in europe. Just last week fears of slowing growth in china. Since the end of the second world war, the united states has played a central role in maintaining global stability. Established institutions such as imf and world bank to regulate the global economy.
