Anorexia nervosa: restriction of energy intake relative to requirements which leads to significantly low weight. Weight that is less than minimally normal or expected. Intense fear of gaining weight or becoming fat or persistent behavior that interferes with weight gain. Even at significantly low weight: disturbance in experienced body weight/shape, undue influence of body weight/shape on self-evaluation, or persistent lack of recognition of the seriousness of the current low body weight, specify if: Binge eating disorder: recurrent binge episodes, the binge-eating episodes are associated with 3 (or more): Eating large amounts of food when not feeling physically hungry. Feeling disgusted, depressed, or guilty afterwards: marked distress is present, occurs once a week, on average for 3 months, not anorexia or bulimia, specify if: Other specified feeding or eating disorder: atypical anorexia nervosa: all other symptoms except weight loss are met, of low frequency and/or limited duration. Episodes occur less than once a week.
