Be wise with the house you buy. People tend to age in place, meaning the house you buy in your 30s and 40s will probably be the house you live in well into your elder years. Universally designed homes: widened doorways, raise electrical outlets, lower light switches, accessible cabinetry, roll-under sinks, custom level appliances. Environmental press: too little press is bad, too much press is bad, adaptational level is right in the middle promotes positive affect and adaptive behavior, also includes support and stimulation. Continuum of care community centered support system: functional instrumental community services including transportation, structural service provider network(s) including aging service agencies, Provision of assistance with everyday life activities long-term care centers, state-federal supported programs, non-profit entities, Informal community services/care provisions shopping, cooking, eating, etc. etc. The (cid:498)aging network(cid:499) (cid:498)web(cid:499) of community services to meet physical, mental, and social health needs.
