What is poultry: broad definition: commercial birds, narrow: chickens and turkeys, usda def: chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and guinea fowl, nothing else! Ancestry: chicken and turkey ancestors, chicken, pheasant, jungle fowl. Ancestors came from se asia but other areas as well.
