Both internal and external events influence behavior (internal events: feelings, thoughts, and beliefs) (external events: rewards and punishments) Issues with this theory: training your kid to act a certain way. Identify with same-sex parent and imitate his/her behavior. People differ in how they process information. The biggest sexual organ is the brain. Sexually aroused by what we believe sexually arouses us. We all strive to develop ourselves to the best of our abilities. We do things that make us feel good about ourselves (sexual and other behaviors) Choose a partner that can ensure healthy offspring.
