Hairballs: excessive grooming, often pass through intestinal tract, can be regurgitated, diet changes high fiber, emulsifier, provide (cid:498)cat grass(cid:499, must differentiate from feline asthma! Signs vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia, weight loss, flatulence, rumbling gut, straining to defecate, blood in stool. Age at which it occurs any age. Unknown cause- may be related to previous intestinal disorder/disease- injured lining of gi tract allows absorption of large protein molecules.
