Document Summary

United states- 707 (high incarceration rate for country) Crime control approach- most would say it should be followed in the united states. Police don"t deal with crimes unless they know that a crime occurred, know that they did it. Arrest the people who believe did it, who have evidence that they have the right person. Due process- no exceptions to the 4th amendment, no exception for any amendment. If you are in a vehicle and there is something in plain view, do not need a warrant. Don"t need a warrant to search a plane, boat, motor home. Due process says to ignore all of those, if they don"t have a warrant cannot enter a home, etc. Wrongful conviction defined: wrongful conviction: hard for us to believe that when we live in a fair society that people who do not commit crimes can actually be sentenced, hypotheticals show technicalities and issues with justice system.
