The situation and controversy facing the topic of marijuana legalization is what i am choosing to address. I am choosing this topic because it is perhaps one of the most debated and discussed topics of this generation, and currently, it is in the process of being legalized for many different purposes in different states. This is why it is so important to be discussed now, the voting is in progress and public opinion is highly influential. The substance can be used for medical purposes/treatments, it would bring large sums of money into an in debt economy, and it would drastically decrease the crime within the communities. My audience for this topic would be teenagers and adults of the pennsylvania community because these are the people who would be affected most by the legalization. I believe that currently, the population is divided in terms of public opinion.
