Language not learned by humans, but it is a capacity born into us. All information we need about basic grammar, etc. embedded in us: do not need to learn. Animal language: we are able to require language almost effortlessly. Deaf children: raised in homes with parents who could hear, parents who reject sign language, children started to create own sign language. Rudiments for a language even when creating it almost entirely on own: brain structures. Lad embedded in wernicke"s and broca"s area (brain) Intensive intervention to help acquire language after she was away from the abusive environment: no language skills, never became fluent language user, developmentally too late, biology shut down from puberty.
