Moving kids from restrictive environment, family of origin. Church: goal: keep child in environment that is least restrictive, other religious affiliations. Goal of in-home services: keep children with intact families. Services facilitated and required by cps: family of origin, foster or adopted parents. Parents can be provided services in order to keep child in the home for as long as needed. Types of services provided: family preservation. Cps mandates or follow up with families to see if they are completing services to keep child safe in environment. Types of families served: at risk for child maltreatment, perpetrators of child maltreatment. Evidence-based programs: parent-training (pcit, incredible years) Adolescents high on criminal scale: family-focused (fft, mst) Proper parenting skills: closest to point of origin. Foster care: child placed in temporary home with people in foster care system.
