Operaing model, enterprise architecture and it engagement model is the disciplines that companies must master to build a foundaion for execuion. Growing complexity in companies" systems can fossilize operaions. It infrastructure and digiized business processes automaing a company"s core capabiliies. A warning sign that a company"s foundaion does not support its strategy. Diferent parts of our company give diferent answers to the same customer quesions. Business process standardizaion: deining exactly how a series of steps will be executed regardless of who is performing them or where they are completed. Integraion: links the eforts of organizaional units through shared data. Dimensions of an operaing model: business process standardizaion and integraion. How does focusing on the operaing model give companies guidance for developing it and business process capabiliies: stable foundaion enables it to become proacive rather than reacive.
