Can be triggered by current environmental stimuli. Persistent and uncontrollable tenseness and apprehension (for up to six months or more) Unable to identify or avoid the cause of their feelings. May include feelings of terror, chest pains, choking or other frightening sensations. Anxiety is a component of both disorders. There is more anxiety found in panic disorder, which makes people ignore the situations that trigger it. Is marked by a persistent and irrational fear of an object or situation that disrupts behavior. Is the persistent feeling of unwanted thoughts (feelings) and urges to engage in senseless rituals that can cause distress. A person with a mood disorder will experience emotions that are extreme, making them abnormal. Depression is the most common reason people seek help. It is often a response to past or current loss.
