This provokes beatrice and benedick to wed as well. Hero & claudio = younger couple/juvenile/couple/ing nue couple: innocent, unsophisticated , impetuous and rash behavior. Beatrice & benedick = more mature couple sophisticated: they have history together, secondary couple, offering wit and humor, more calculated behavior, and often more interesting than the main couple. Don jon antagonist and pure evil, or so he says: foreshadowing of melodramatic villain.
