Ethiopian history evolves from the formation of the state of aksun which had its origins in the economic and cultural exchanges between africans in south. Affected to a large degree agriculture and also gave them larger military might. Aksun"s most well known king and emperor was ezana 320 ce who converted to. Christianity and established it as the states religion (still today) This led to christianity being the religion of choice in modern day ethiopian. It emerged as a state in approximately 300ce and it reached its height in the 11th century. It came to an effective end in 1240. Ghana historically has been called the land of the gold because of its wealth and importance to the trans-saharan trade. Important to know its primary wealth was salt and gold.
