Persian empire started having internal conflicts: augustus got back captured men and took hostages from parthia, announced this as revenge successful and built his monument. After this, no one else was allowed to hold a triumph except the emperor. Forum (regions, conquests, and failures of earlier empires) Many people were represented who had defeated the persians. Recreated the victory of the greeks over the persians in the naval battle at salamis. Message: rome is the last and greatest of the world empires. Mausoleum was built as augustus cam to power.
