April 5th 1917- us is in the war: war and society, how does war change society, wars increase the power of central governments, govts replace private sector decisions ii. They limit alcohol: 18th amendment, prohibition v. 19 amendment: gives women the vote bc women were participating in the war efforts. Civil liberties: vi: basic freedoms are limited, espinage act, sedition act- the act of saying anything wrong of treasonous i. These acts say that ppl dont have a right to say anything negative about war activities.
