3 point lighting: for interviews- apply to find our which is which. Key light: main source of light, brightest light in the shot, subject faces key, in peripheral vision zone. Fill light: reduces amount of shadow caused by the key light, safer/ less intense (diffused, keep lower toward where the head is- slightly above eye level. Back light: separate the subject from the background, goes behind the subject to create an edge around head and shoulders, set up high and shines down on the subject to hit top of head. Frost: scattered light all over the place. Bounce lighting: pointing light indirectly to subject and reflect light off to light the subject- can be anything that bounces light onto subject: umbrella used to bounce light. Tough spun and frost: only intended to go on lights- very flammable. Don"t touch bulb directly because oils are dangerous-hold from white part: handle with tissue or paper that is in package.
