Hindsight bias- looking back and thinking an answer is totally obvious. Both social psych and sociology have an interest in studying groups but sociologist study the behavior of groups -small to large but typically large- (society) social psychologists study the behavior of individuals within those groups. Both are interested in close relationships sociologists are interested in for example, if marriage is increasing or decreasing social psychologists- what makes people attracted to each other sociologists rarely use experiments. The concept of what they study demands different methods. Behavior = disposition (personality) + situation social psychologists focus on the situation, understanding that we need to know a little bit about personalities as well. Also look at how the person comprehends a situation.
