26 views2 pages

Document Summary

Tell a story, instead of writing about something you tell a story about a typical person using/doing whatever it is. Headline: creative, clever, to the point (20 words), point out something new different/important, capture the readers attention. Lead: attract attention from the reader (30 words or so) You can start with a short to the point question. Set the scene (like a normal story type situation) Body of the story: who, what, where, when, why, how. Get the information out in the most interesting, emotional way if possible. You still want the facts to be towards the top as fast as you can. Make them feel the story so they can understand what is going on. Summary ending, conclude by summarizing the points you tried to make during the story. Ref. ending going back to what you said at the begging. Chapter 7. page 176 has tips to help with this stuff.
