Anthropology: the most humanistic of the social sciences and the most scientific of the humanities. Theory: a whole set of links and propositions about how the world works that can be used to predict and develop new ideas. Method: ways to collect observations in order to ask more questions. Culture: a whole set of shared human practices, beliefs, norms, behaviors, symbols and systems. It has meaning for individuals and is a shared and dynamic element of being human. Inference 1: more offspring will be produced than will survive. Inference 2: individuals with favorable traits have an advantage.
