There have been food crises around the world during the 50"s, 60"s, and late 60"s. 50"s, a lot of food production and famine decreased worldwide. 60"s lower food production and famine increased worldwide (high birth rates, poor crop yields) Late 60"s food production increased and famine decreased worldwide. Any major flood or drought could leave to widespread starvation.
