Explicit content: a man and his son look for their stolen bicycle. Made up of form and content, in this case very traditional. A man learns something about himself and about life. There is no one person in the film trying to make ricci"s life miserable - it;s just a stroke of bad luck, everyone played a part in making it a bad day. The actors are actually people taken off the street; they are not real actors. The acting is almost genuine, by every day people who might even identify with the story. The dialogue in the film is put in later - the film is dubbed. The camera is just looking in, following them around in the real world, looking for the bicycle along with them. Lots of camera tracks for smooth following. Was thought to be a cheap movie despite its success, but actually used a lot of equipment. Lighting (was very natural through the film)
