Types of interview questions: each have a specific reason they are asked. Use when don"t have enough info abt candidate to ask specific questions. Ex. what would you do in this type of situation; how would you handle it. Answered with yes, no or limited answers. Need to have enough info abt certain person. Mask question, bring in thrid party to try and disassociate. Ex. tell me more, anything else you would like to add, i see. Depending on the question, control is on interviewer or interviewee. Closed or direct: control is in interviewer. Hypothetical or open: control is in interviewee. Starts with with open and ends with closed. Common when you don"t know much so you get info and build off that. Starts with closed and ends with open. Common when you know a lot about interviewee at start of interview. Start with funnel, but then there"s an unexpected response, so you have to reopen the interview sequence.
