In today"s age of technological advancements, that are many innovative tools that can aid people to know more about their surroundings and also assist in making new discoveries. Geology also informs about ongoing issues: pollution of groundwater, how and where to find oil and other useful minerals, and how to avoid landslides. Understanding geology will make it easier for one to take decisions for basic household necessities and also understand the bigger picture.
