Whatever"s leftover is what justice is to plato and aristotle understanding your position in society. If it"s working, everyone should be doing what they should be. Leaders have to exercise rule internally and externally. (sparkbooks, book 4, page 2 self rule) Justice, according to socrates/plato, is a healthily balanced psyche. Says logos, thymos, and eros need to all be in control: true power comes from self-control control and order of one"s body and soul. The discipline to act justly, live virtuously, and not need anything: you are not going to make good decisions unless thymos, eros, and logos are all balanced need temperance. When oratory gets out of control (like callicles is right now) it may have tyrannical impulses. Could get really ugly if thymos and eros can reign over logos. Socrates says to rule is about ruling and being ruled (cid:0) Self-rule (cid:0) your logos, eros, and thymos need to be in balance (temperance).
