Still holistic - body rose from dead. 40 days after - appearances, then goes to heaven. Jesus = poor, probably one of the pharisees. Jesus says he will come back - then will initiate new kingdom. New testament - feel that he will come soon, but it"s 2000 years later. 70 ce - destruction of temple (remaining pharisees and jesus ppl) Everyone"s religion had to be the same as the emperor. Christianity became the official religion of roman empire (reason that there are so many christians) Scope of christianity - becomes diffuse, different beliefs.
