Personality definition - characteristics, emotional responses, thoughts, and behaviors that are relatively stable over time and across circumstances. Enduring personal quality or attribute that influences behavior across situations. Can infer the presence of it by looking at your behaviors (when you do more or less of a behavior) Evidence strongly suggests that all personality traits have a genetic component. This can be seen in twin studies and adoption studies. Identical twins have higher correlation coefficients for these personality traits. Higher dna similarity, more similar personality traits. Genes predispose us to certain personality traits associated with behavioral tendencies. Temperament - appears in infants at very early ages. General tendency to feel or act in certain ways. Its a self report so i answer questions such as i hate being late for things - t/f . Problems: people could lie and faking good or fake bad . This test has a validity test that will catch you doing these things.
