Motivation refers to the desire, effort and passion to achieve something. It is the willingness to complete a task or job with enthusiasm, in simple terms it is the energy found in people that causes them to continually be interested, committed and be passionate about their work. A lack of motivation is completely opposite to that of motivation. It is the a(cid:271)se(cid:374)(cid:272)e of this desire or passio(cid:374) a(cid:271)out the e(cid:373)ployee"s (cid:449)ork. Leads to lower productivity levels and less determination to fulfil a task or work given to him/her. Physiological needs are the needs that must be met for people to survive, e. g. water, food, air, warmth and sleep. In business terms, the amount of money workers earn determines the extent to which they are able to meet these basic needs. These (cid:374)eeds are the (cid:373)ost (cid:271)asi(cid:272) (cid:374)eeds a(cid:272)(cid:272)ordi(cid:374)g to the maslo(cid:449)"s theory of motivation.
