Developed without a governing body, subject to no master plan but the passage of time, the lay of the land and daily life of its users. An irregular form of streets as well as randomly defined open spaces that reflects the needs of past or current users. Definition: set down by a governing body that divides the land and centrally designs it before it is handed over to users. Result: a uniform series of streets and open spaces that reflects the values or goals of a governing body. Two designs kind of interact with each other in a way such that people only use pathways as they require which creates a different pathway.
