Talking about the students being in prison: it is used as sarcasm. So if you don"t know that he uses it to prove a point, it looks like he contradicts himself. Critiquing people for being a ivy league and not being able to answer a high school question. But goes on to say that fred barnes is angered that we don"t know what the odysseus is but barnes doesn"t know it himself so what"s it matter. Why is there that standard when it doesn"t really matter. Which is why we have the ability, the privilege to know pop media. He might say no: standardize testing, money focus.
