Document Summary

Through the stereotypes being made against african americans, they are often portrayed with less wealth and criminal behavior because of the racism towards these groups of people. African americans are often unable to finish high school or even move ahead to college because many may not be economically well off but this does not conclude that they are thieves or criminals of any sort. Many african americans are unemployed and unable to find a job, or have much higher difficulty than white americans. This is because of the racism that continues today and superiority since over african americans by whites. Because these groups of people are not having jobs, they have less income and therefore struggle economically, creating greater stereotypes. When so much talent is underemployed and over incarcerated, the entire country suffers (kristof 1). Economic struggle is due to these unemployment rates, which are in all means biased and unjustified.
