Okay so to start off everyone hopefully has found their groups. We are going to pass out two case studies and read them over together. As we read them we want you to circle anything that stands out to you as a factor of pregnancy. That can be anything, both positive and negative . All these things you mentioned are right and there are a couple more in there, and we just want you to keep things factors in mind as we talk about prenatal care. Just your first thoughts when you hear that. So prenatal care is a type of preventative care, and it"s purpose is to promote the overall health and well-being of both a mother and a baby during pregnancy. This is carried out through a course of regular check-ups with a physician where they have a chance to prevent, monitor and educate women and men on their health and their developing baby"s health.
