The production of urban space for more affluent users. Gentrification depends upon and produces inequality: things in general are going to be more expensive. Hence, making it more difficult for the middle-class families. What has happened in racial terms to red hook from 2000 to 2010 and why has census. Slowly shrinking, because of the surrounding neighborhoods and because of this, the economic pressure is hampering the middle class asian population. A system of building regulations applied to an area to achieve a desired pattern of density and land use. Types of zoning: residential, commercial or manufacturing. An area divided into separate zones of residential, commercial or manufacturing that depends on non-pedestrian connections between each type. An area that blends residential, commercial or manufacturing and provides pedestrian connections between each type. The distance and infrastructure between zones defines what type of transportation dominates. The city expands after being found, like any other city.
