Occupy movement (wall street: was international as well as national, protesting at zuccotti park, police brutality, 1% v 99% stock market, superficial growth. Why invest in something when it"s worth 4x higher. Regulation: must be able to pay back a loan. People who were making 20,000 a year took out 400,000+ loans. But there was no way that could be paid back. Bought houses who"s value went up, people bought it, couldn"t pay the loan. + realized that the houses weren"t that high of a high value, got foreclosed, filed for bankruptcy, bank tried to sell the house, but no one was buy, people were let go (layoffs) in business and in banks. So the banks were relieved so that our economy doesn"t die. The average person did not get any support.
