Liminal stage: neither here nor there no longer the same, yet not somebody new transition. Examples: liminality of consciousness (waking up: up but not awake). L of beings (stateless people), l of places (airports) etc (communitas) Postliminal stage: new status is achieved (diploma you"ve learnt something) Some examples: liminal personalities those that don"t live like others, Liminoid state doesn"t want to solve the problem, liminality of a new relationship every relationship brings up something new. Is it only about new relationships: learning something new about someone everyday, or not being surprised anymore in the relationship not true. Guys: see worksheet: for guys blood means death; it is a negative aspect, some tribes feel that bleeding between the legs, like a woman, is to have strength. So there are some general genital mutilation (cuts), to see the blood, feel the pain and survive. Becomes a responsible man who can handle power.
