Document Summary
Significance is setting up a new image of beauty for woman since the face is symmetrical. Another significance is the symbols of power as queen. The work is not done though because the crafter didn"t finish it. The face shows a strong, determine ruler but he also shares the struggles of the kingdom. The soul of the king is being capture in the sculpture. They are a reference and reserve to the pharaoh which tells a story of the god. Ra that goes through the underworld for the 12 hours of night and resurrected. They believed the pharaoh would do the same journey to become one with the god and live forever. It was divided to 12 chambers, one for each night and each chamber had a different monster that would fight the god. The paintings inside are one of the best conserve and they are unique on how they portray the lower class.
