Other variables (timing within season, duration, intensity) The way of our body decrease body temperature is evaporate water vapors on our skin, and humid air has more water vapor in the air and the process of decreasing body heat will be affected. Temperature (especially night minimum) can be higher in and around cities and urban areas. In general, heat waves are defined by the difference in temperature compared to the norm. Therefore, it does not have to be super hot for it be a heat wave. There are some parts of the world where it"s often much hotter. Crops: wheat, rice, maize, potato, and soybean. Aircraft (lift; 119-128f) plane cannot fly in extreme heat because of low density. Meteorological conditions are similar as to that for drought: high pressure. If the high pressure occurs in the summer time, then you have lots of solar radiation, which leads to warming.
