Bus 215: sort the data and find maximum and minimum value of data. The data was sorted from the smallest to largest value to make it easiest to view. I sorted the data by selecting the data and clicking the sort from smallest to largest button. (the sorted data is in appendix a. ) The maximum value of the data is the largest value in the data set. Inputting the data set in the excel function =max(data) got the maximum value of 0. 023381771. We see that the data set is numerical and continuous(values are between the integers). The minimum value of the data is the smallest value in the data set. Inputting the data set in the excel function =min(data) got the minimum value of -0. 038534539. This shows that the data set has negative values. The range of a data set is the difference between the maximum and minimum values.
